Key Account Manager (Convenience Stores operations)

This role is responsible for providing ongoing support to high value clients. Manage assigned group of key accounts/sub-trade channel to achieve designated sales targeted levels. Develop profitable business with new and existing customers.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and grow assigned key accounts and/or sub-trade channel to achieve assigned targets
  • Develop and maintain strategic business relationships with major accounts, buyers to promote brand awareness, profitable business relationships and to keep abreast of trade development, competition, emerging consumers behaviours and trends
  • In charge of sales expansion, introduce new products or services to clients and organise visits to current and potential clients
  • Conduct regular meetings with the buyers to understand customer’s needs and work closely with the Marketing teams to implement sales programmes that address the needs of the key accounts
  • Formulate short and long-range sales / business plans and prepare sales strategies utilising available marketing programmes to reach nominated targets
  • Retain long-term customer relationships with established clients and provide them with high quality customer service
  • Supervise in planning of sales and operational activities; and ensure smooth roll out of all In-Store activations within the given timeframe

Requirements: 

  • At least 5 years progressive key account experience with a proven track record in FMCG
  • Possess a degree in Commerce/Business or equivalent
  • Deep understanding of key account management, profitability and financials such as budgets, ROI, P&L
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Has an appreciation of the alcohol industry
  • Driven, outgoing and is a self-starter
