For the past 16 years, Carlsberg Malaysia has been sposoring RM30,000 to the the OCM-Carlsberg Athletes Retirement Scheme. The scheme has to date provided insurance coverage of approximately RM3.07 million for 88 Malaysian athletes, who have won gold medals at the past Asian Games, Commonwealth Games and the Olympics since 1998.

The presentation ceremony was held on 16th December 2010 at the Hall of Fame, Olympic Council of Malaysia. Gold medalists and star beneficiaries including Dato’ Nicol David made special appearances to share their experiences and future plan.

Carlsberg Malaysia has donated a total of RM 10, 000 from its Carlsberg Golf Classic Charity Fund to two charity homes namely Persatuan Rumah Kebajikan Rita and Pusat Penjagaan Kanak-Kanak Istimewa Sri Sai. Children of these homes were also invited to the annual OCM-Carlsberg Athletes Retirement Scheme celebration.
