This is the 3rd year of collaboration between Carlsberg Malaysia and its media partners, Guang Ming Daily and Sin Chew Daily to support the ‘Miao Hui’ Temple Carnival. This Carnival is one of the biggest cultural celebrations in the northern region. The event was held on 22nd January 2011 at the Tow Bao Kong temple located at Jalan Raja Uda Butterworth, Penang. 

Sharing the sentiments of joy and happiness with more than 30,000 people from the local Chinese community, Carlsberg Malaysia brought smiles to the crowd when the Carlsberg “Happiness” Float with ‘Fook’ Gods’ blessed the procession. The carnival was graced by the Penang State EXCO member-Phee Boon Poh and Deputy Managing Director-Dato’ Chin Voon Loong. Another highlight of the celebrations included lion dance by 38 lions, Chinese traditional drums and acrobats from China, traditional dancers and magicians, entertainment performances by a troupe local singers and performers.
