TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. The Organiser

The Organiser of the Contest is Carlsberg Marketing Sdn Bhd [198501008089(140534-M)]

 

  1. Contest Period

        The Contest period is from 1 July 2020 (12.01am Malaysian Time) and will ends on 31 August 2020 (11.59pm Malaysian Time) (the “Contest Period”).

 

  1. Eligibility

This Contest is open to all non-Muslim aged 21 years or over residents in Malaysia subject to other criteria set out below, the Standard Terms and Conditions, the terms and conditions herein and the relevant laws of Malaysia. Employees of the Organiser, its associate agencies, affiliates, distributors, dealers, sponsors, advertising and Contest agencies, and members of their immediate families will not be eligible to participate in this Contest.

 

  1. How to participate in the Contest

Step 1: Purchase any of the participating Carlsberg products worth of RM20 and above in proof of purchase/receipts from participating outlets during the Contest Period.

 

Participating Outlets:

a) FamilyMart

b) KK Mart

c) MyNews

d) 7-Eleven outlets in Peninsular Malaysia, excluding Sabah & Sarawak, Langkawi

 (collectively referred to as “Participating Chains”)

 

Participating Carlsberg Products:

a) Carlsberg Danish Pilsner

b) Carlsberg Smooth Draught

c) Somersby

d) 1664 Blanc

e) Asahi

f) Royal Stout

g) Skol

h) Special Brew

i) Corona

j) Nutrimalt

k) Jolly Shandy

(collectively referred to as “Participating Carlsberg Products”)

 

Step 2: Write name and NRIC number on the front proof of purchase receipts. Snap a picture of the receipt (front) and key in your Full Name (as per your IC) <SPACE> I/C No. and WhatsApp to 017-2298277. Must be readable and clear. Please safe keep the original receipt(s) for verification purposes, failing which, the Organiser shall forfeit the Prize.

a) Participant(s) may purchase and send multiple receipts within the Contest Period, as long as it can be accumulated under the same full name and NRIC Number with a minimum of RM20 of participating brands at Participating Outlets.

b) The Organiser reserves the right to reject any entry that is not submitted in the required manner as indicated above including, but not limited to, entries with incorrect or incomplete information, or where the Receipt is altered, duplicated, defective, is invalid and will be automatically disqualified from the Contest without

 

  1. Winners, Prizes, and Terms and Conditions of Prizes

a) The Prizes for the Contest are as follows:

  • Eight (8) Grand Prize x one (1) unit of Electronic Mahjong Table Set

b) The Organiser will select 8 winners based on the compilation of the Top 8 Spenders (Amount spent) on Participating Products at Participating Chains by the Organiser during the Contest Period.

c) Participant(s) may purchase and send multiple receipts within the Contest Period, as long as it can be accumulated under the same full name and NRIC Number within the Contest Period. Compilation will be done based on the date, time and amount spent printed on the Receipt received via WhatsApp by the Organiser. Only eight (8) top spenders throughout the Contest Period will be selected to win the Contest Prize.

d) In the event of a draw between Participants, the winner will be the Participant whom has accumulated the total purchased amount at the earliest date (within the Contest Period).

e) Each Participant is only allowed to win one (1) prize from the Contest.

f) The Organiser reserves the right to substitute any winning prize with a prize of similar value, with or without notice.

g) The Prizes are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash credit or any other items. Prizes not redeemed within the notified period will be forfeited.

h) The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify and remove any Participant from the Contest without prior notification or disclosure of information should the Participant be suspected of tampering with their entries or breach the Contest terms and conditions.

i) The Organiser’s decision is final. No further correspondence or appeal will be entertained.

 

  1. Notification of Winners and Redemption of Prizes

a) Winners will be notified via the instant messaging app ‘WhatsApp’ using the same contact number in which they entered the Contest. The winners must ensure that the data details provided to the Organiser are true, accurate, current and complete. Winners will be informed of their winning within seven (7) working days from the Contest ends date.

b) The winners must respond within three (3) days from the time when the Organiser sent the notification via WhatsApp. If the winner fails to respond within three (3) days, the Organiser reserves the right to substitute the winner with subsequent name on the list.

c) Once the winner has been verified and confirmed, prize fulfilment will be done by Organiser’s Appointed Agent within 21 working days from the date of notification for Peninsula Malaysia.

d) Upon redemption, the original receipt(s) of the purchase entered into the Contest must be presented as proof of purchase. The photos, notification alone does not qualify as proof of purchase.

 

  1. Privacy Policy

By participating, the Participant explicitly consents that the Organiser shall store the necessary personal data of the Participant. Participant is free to revoke his or her consent to the storage of data by sending an email to the Organiser and by doing so, Participant is withdrawing his or her participation in this Contest. The Organiser will use its best endeavours to keep all personal data stored for the purpose of this Contest strictly confidential.

 

  1. Additional Terms

a) Each Participant agrees that he/she has read and understood these Terms of Contest and by participating in the Contest, each Participant will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to each of the terms and conditions appearing herein the Terms of Contest.

b) The Organiser is not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay, failure in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction, unauthorized access to, or alteration of, user or member communications, or any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, the website, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, system, apparatus, software, failure of e-mail or receipt of entry on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet and/or telecommunication services.

c) The Organiser reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions without prior notice.

d) The Contest Terms and Carlsberg’s Standard Terms and Conditions (collectively “Terms and Conditions”) shall be binding on all Participants who participate in this Contest. The definitions in Carlsberg’s Standard Terms and Conditions shall apply unless otherwise expressly stated in the Contest Terms. In the event of any discrepancies between these terms and conditions and any advertising, Contest publicity and other materials relating to or in connection with this Contest, the final terms and conditions on Carlsberg’s website shall prevail.
