Tesco x Carlsberg Purchase & Redeem Contest (“The Contest”)

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. The Organiser

The Organiser of the Contest is Carlsberg Marketing Sdn Bhd [198501008089(140534-M)].

  1. Contest Period

        The Contest period is from 2 April 2020 (12:01am Malaysian Time) and will end on 15 April 2020 (11:59pm Malaysian Time) (the “Contest Period”).

  1. Eligibility

This Contest is open to all non-Muslim aged 21 years or over residents in Malaysia subject to other criteria set out below, the Standard Terms and Conditions, the terms and conditions herein and the relevant laws of Malaysia. Employees of the Organiser, its associate agencies, affiliates, distributors, dealers, sponsors, advertising and Contest agencies, and members of their immediate families will not be eligible to participate in this Contest.

  1. How to participate in the Contest

Step 1: Purchase any of the participating Carlsberg products together with a minimum of one carton of Somersby (any variant) worth of RM600 and above in not more than three (3) proof of purchase/receipts from TESCO outlets to be entitled to redeem for one (1) Limited Edition 3-Litre Carlsberg Bottle.

Participating Carlsberg Products:

a) Carlsberg Danish Pilsner

b) Carlsberg Smooth Draught

c) Somersby

d) 1664 Blanc

e) Asahi

f) Royal Stout

g) SKOL

h) Carlsberg Special Brew

i) Corona

(collectively referred to as “Participating Carlsberg Products”)

 

Step 2: Write name and NRIC number on the front of proof of purchase receipt. Snap a picture of the receipt (front) and key in your Full Name (as per your IC) <SPACE> I/C No. and WhatsApp to 017-664 5514. Must be readable and clear. Please safe keep the original receipt(s) for verification and redemption purposes, failing which, the Organiser shall forfeit the Prize.

a) During redemption, only original copy of the receipt(s) is accepted as proof of purchase. Purchases must be made between 2 April to 15 April 2020 (Peninsular Malaysia). Accumulated original receipts are acceptable but are limited to a maximum of 3 receipts only for one redemption.

b) The Organiser will send out acknowledgment report to successful entry only (“Qualified Entries”).

c) The Organiser shall be entitled to request the original Identity Card or the originals of other supporting documents/materials for verification purposes.

d) The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify and remove any Contestant from the Contest without prior notification or disclosure of information should the Contestant be suspected of tampering with their entries or breach the Contest terms and conditions.

 

  1. Winners, Prizes, and Terms and Conditions of Prizes

a) The Organiser reserves the right to not award any and/or all prize(s) on the basis that there are insufficient Qualifying Entries. For example, if there are 300 prizes available to be won during a particular Prize Period, in the event that there are less than 300 Qualifying Entries, the Organiser is entitled to only award the prize(s) to the Qualifying Entries and forfeit the remaining prize(s).

b) Each customer is only allowed to win one (1) prize from the Contest.

c) The Organiser reserves the right to substitute any winning prize with a prize of similar value, with or without notice.

d) The Prizes are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash credit or any other items. Prizes not redeemed within the notified period will be forfeited.

 

  1. Notification of Winners and Redemption of Prizes

a) Winners will be notified via the instant messaging app ‘WhatsApp’ using the same contact number in which they entered the Contest. The winners must ensure that the data details provided to the Organiser are true, accurate, current and complete. Winners will be informed of their winning and they need to respond on their desired delivery address.

b) The winners must respond within three (3) days from the time when the Organiser sent the notification via WhatsApp. If the winner fails to respond within three (3) days, the Organiser reserves the right to substitute the winner with a subsequent name on the list.

c) Once the winner has been verified and confirmed, the prize will be delivered to the winner’s provided delivery address.

d) Upon delivery, the original receipt(s) of the purchase entered into the Activation must be presented as proof of purchase. The photos and/or notification alone does not qualify as proof of purchase.

 

  1. Privacy Policy

By participating, the Participant explicitly consents that the Organiser shall store the necessary personal data of the Participant. Participant is free to revoke his or her consent to the storage of data by sending an email to the Organiser and by doing so, Participant is withdrawing his or her participation in this Contest. The Organiser will use its best endeavours to keep all personal data stored for the purpose of this Promotion strictly confidential.

 

  1. Additional Terms

a) Each Participant agrees that he/she has read and understood these Terms of Contest and by participating in the Contest, each Participant will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to each of the terms and conditions appearing herein the Terms of Contest.

b) The Organiser is not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay, failure in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction, unauthorized access to, or alteration of, user or member communications, or any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, the website, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, system, apparatus, software, failure of e-mail or receipt of entry on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet and/or telecommunication services.

c) The Organiser reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions without prior notice.

d) The Contest Terms and Carlsberg’s Standard Terms and Conditions (collectively “Terms and Conditions”) shall be binding for all Participants who participate in this Contest. The definitions in Carlsberg’s Standard Terms and Conditions shall apply unless otherwise expressly stated in the Contest Terms. In the event of any discrepancies between these terms and conditions and any advertising, Contest, publicity and other materials relating to or in connection with this Contest, the final terms and conditions on Carlsberg’s website shall prevail.
