Carlsberg Malaysia continued its partnership with TimeOut KL by presenting three premium beer brands – Carlsberg, Kronenbourg 1664 and Somersby Apple Cider at the TimeOut KL Food Awards 2013 on 27 November at Play, The Roof First Avenue in Bandar Utama. This annual activity has received strong support and overwhelming response by fellow Malaysians to put forward their nominations towards the restaurants which deserved the highest recognition in the KL dining scene.
Sales Director Gary Tan handed the Best Pub Grub award to winner, Tom, Dick and Harry’s, TTDI presented by the Carlsberg beer brand. They also won the similar award for the past two years consecutively. Somersby Apple Cider presented the Best Western Restaurant, to myBurgerLab for their gourmet burger joint.
The Best Fine Dining Restaurant was presented by Kronenbourg 1664, from Sale Director Gary Tan to Cilantro Restaurant and Wine Bar. Last but not least, the Best New Restaurant was Cantaloupe at Troika Sky who won the awards for the most exciting restaurant. Cantaloupe is well known for its style on the 24th floor of Troika Sky Dining.
Now in its fifth year, the Time Out KL Food Awards is the city’s only independent food awards where it is 100 percent voted for by the readers. Open field nominations across 16 categories started in July, where shortlisted the nominees in each category for a final round of public voting ran through September and October. The polls closed on Oct 31.
